"And what do you do for a living, Mrs. Levi?" asks a character in the first
scene of this most delightful of musical comedies.
"Some people paint, some sew ... I meddle," replies Dolly. And we're off on
a whirlwind race around New York at the turn
of the twentieth century, Following the adventures of America's most beloved
musical matchmaker.

The Diary of Anne Frank
By: Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett
Based upon "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl" Newly adapted by Wendy
Kesselman
Directed by: Kay Roth
Newly discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank, as well as survivor
accounts, are interwoven to create an impassioned,
contemporary story of the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule, and
the spirit, passion for life and prophetic thoughts of one
young Jewish girl living in Nazi-occupied Holland. A new adaptation for a
new generation.
Cast of Characters:
Anne Frank (early teens) A free spirited teen who doesn't allow the
atrocities of war to stifle her creativity
Otto Frank (40-50) Anne's father who will do whatever he can to save his
family from the Nazi persecution
Edith Frank (40-50) Anne's mother. Nervous and who is often at a loss on how
to interact with her daughter
Margot Frank (mid to late teens) Anne's older sister, her call-up is the
reason the family goes into hiding
Miep Gies (late 20s and up) Mr. Frank's employee, the family's lifeline to
the outside world
Peter Van Daan (mid teens) Teenaged son of Otto Frank's business partner.
Anne's first real boyfriend
Mr. Kraler (30-50) Another employee who helps the families and keeps their
secret safe
Mrs. Van Daan (40s & up) Peter's mother determined to make her husband pay
for not safeguarding his family
Mr. Van Daan (40s & up) Mr. Frank's business partner, second-guesses his
ability to be a husband and father

Mr. Dussel (40s and up) - A dentist who joins the rest when he too is forced
into hiding
First, Second and Third Men (Any ages) - The three who arrest and take the
families away to their tragic end.
Good roles for men with little acting experience who would like to see what
it's like to be on stage

belligerent, bull-headed and bumbling hotel owner, Basil Fawlty and his crew
of misfit employees,
his put-upon wife and a slew of odd guests.
