If anyone is looking for a way to help people in Nepal, I can recommend this path.

I personally know the individuals involved and can guarantee that the money will go to people who desperately need help and not to overhead costs.

This is an appeal sent out by a Nepalese artist who has been working in US and other Western buddhist meditation centers for years. I've known him for over 20 years and consider him to be one of the great artists alive today working in any style but he's so modest that no one would guess. He has flown back to Nepal to help with the relief efforts.

A dollar will buy a lot more in Nepal than it would here so even a small donation is useful.

Any money donated following the instructions on the website is tax-deductible.

Information and instructions are available at this URL:

Please feel free to circulate this appeal widely.
Any collected money beyond the needs of the village will be shared with other victims.

This webpage at BBCNews has several short news reports describing the chaos of the relief efforts in Nepal and the serious shortage of help in outlying areas.

Donations to this account will get help to some of those people who have been neglected until now.
