Good morning, Lela, Lynda, and Martha, and board members,

Tony Leavitt is a former astronaut who has been presenting and
exhibiting at many OSTA and NSTA conferences. He has an article on page
13 of the new November TOST that promotes STEM education through
earth-space curricula.

Tony loves to come to Oregon, so any opportunity that you might have
to get him involved with your school or district would be very beneficial
to you, your colleagues, and your students.

Thank you for all that you do! Peace and friendship, Bernie

Subject: NASA: AESP to EPD

  Hello All,
This email should have gone out two months ago, but I have just been
remiss. Some of you know the closing of the Aerospace Education Services
Program (AESP). Sad day to see the oldest continuing running NASA education
program shutdown after 52 years.

Well, it has new life (temporarily) as the Education Professional
Development Project (EPD). I am still here at NASA Ames, and I want to
extend an invitation to connect with me to discuss providing professional
development to your school/district/university/museum/home school etc. I
know this is the holiday season and other things may be on your mind. But
consider sending me a message to look at the second half of the school year
for PD opportunities.

I can not travel, except locally here in the Bay Area unless you have
funds available to expenses. I'd love to come out in-person and we can
certainly discuss that if it is an option. Otherwise, I can connect in with
an existing workshop you might have scheduled or we could work out a time
to connect to your pre-service class to introduce them to some unique NASA
education resources.

We can also discuss setting up a "webshop" where someone on your end could
facilitate an extended workshop with me as the lead virtually. This could
even work for a Lunar/Meteorite Certification potentially.

Our EPD project has a webinar series which you can find out more about at:
<https://paragon-tec.adobeconnect.com/admin/show-event-catalog>I*

I also have an Adobe Connect room we could meet face-to face to discuss
possibilities:
 https://paragon-tec.adobeconnect.com/leavitt/

Or we could Skype at: tleavitt77 Send me a connect request.
Anyway, I do want to stay connect and to go on service all your GREAT
efforts out there "in the trenches". You all are a *National Treasure *who
deserve all the support we can offer.

  Thank you,
Tony.
