[Osta-board] FW: Oregon's Botanical Landscape: An Opportunity toImagine Oregon Before 1800

It is not - nor should it be - the position of the OSTA to preview,
sell, or create a stage for any author of a book, no matter how good or
otherwise - we do not sell things, we do not promote other than the
convention activities or events, etc. She may become a disgruntled
author who feels we do not respond to her wishes, but that is not part
of our charge as an organization.

If we are to do differently, it takes a policy change to do so. This is
certainly a matter we may wish to discuss at the OSTA Board Retreat, but
I would be inclined to not add such to our agenda.
