Also take  a look at NSTA'S site. If you go to standards and click on a standard it will list activities that have been reviewed by NSTA'S curators. There are also suggestions as to how it can be done to more align to NGSS.

a link to  a few of Achieve’s resources and  some that have been developed from educators in other states.  They may be useful as you begin planning course statements.  Please note that some of the middle school sequencing may not align with Oregon’s middle
 school science standards.

Hello Colleagues, 

My district administration has asked me to put together a team of middle school teachers to work on planned course statements for science, grades 6-8. I plan to include professional development around NGSS shifts as we get into this work.
 I’m looking for resources you might have related to the process you’ve had in your district, recommendations on PD materials, any final work you’re willing to share, and any words of advice are gladly welcomed.
