[Osta-board] More on the list serv

Good evening, Lynda,

I don't think that Dave realizes that you have over 850 people
on the list-serve, and that they include the entire spectrum of
science educators. Elementary teachers, vendors, and indeed most
people on that list have little time and/or interest in pursuing or
reading about the "change and improvement" discussions that this U of
O science ed prof proposes. Dave is on his computer more that 4 times
a day!

In earlier times, electronic bulletin boards existed for his
proposed string of discussion. Perhaps Facebook, Twitter, and Blogs
are today's mode of communication. But I think that it was very
presumptuous of him to attempt to take over your list-serve for his
own purposes, no matter how well-meaning he may be.

Rather that alienating him, you may be able to channel his
electronic enthusiasm into helping OSTA and the science community with
his energy. Your initial reply to him was right on. Let's see what
happens from here.

Thank you for all that you do!
                Best wishes, Bernie

btw: it is interesting that Moursund is at Eugene. Most of the
college exhibitors and student members come from Corvallis ! ! !
