[Osta-board] Friendly reminders

It has been a little over a month since our retreat and I know our April meeting is still over a month away but I wanted to remind people of things they need to bring or have done by that meeting.

1. The bylaws committee will be bringing us a printed copy of proposed changes for us to discuss. They were e-mailed the bylaws today.

2. We need to find a new TOST editor. Heidi is resigning. She did the one that recently went to press and one more, then we need someone new.

3. Bernie I think you were looking at a new printer for us. We need to know what form the documents need to be in and what we may need to do about that. Heidi says the PageMaker program she is using is part of some of the issues she has had. She is recommending Publisher.

4. Bring ideas for the TOST. Marj is working on a "Get to Know Your Board" article. I hope everyone has sent her the information she wanted.

5. Please start preparing your Board reports. Remember to e-mail them to me and Carol. I will also remind you closer to the meeting.

6. Sponsorship letter. I know some people were working on that before we left but did it get finished?

7. Contacts - may require the letter. Some were for solicitation of website adds. I wrote down the following:
Scott - Prentice Hall, Leatherman, OFRI
Alan - Intel, PGE
Brian - Nike, Vernier
Carolyn - School Specialty
Bruce - BPA

Costs for adds were: Website 1/2 year = $1800 and full year = $3000
Non-profits: 1/2 year = $240 and full year = $400

8. Contacting pre-service teachers. Several people had signed up for different colleges - have contacts been made?

9. Cheryl is looking for facilitators for the PD trainings to be offered this summer. She got approval for funding so if you want to help her out let her know and if you know of anyone who would be good get those names to her.

10. Mike - you were going to see if you could get Facebook unblocked for our next meeting.

Hope that helps. I don't want things to get "out of sight, out of mind".
