[White-water] Oregon Marine Board meetings next week

The Oregon Marine Board is giving non-motorized boaters (us!) an opportunity to express our views regarding issues including what is important to us (vs motorized boaters) as far as access, facilities, use of fees, safety, education, etc.  

One issue is that they need funding, they're not getting it from the Feds, and so the other option is usually fees, and these fees will likely go up and be more numerous.  

The next two meetings this coming week are in Newport and Scappoose.  Please see the attached link for the schedule.  Also, if you cannot make a meeting, please log in and complete the survey online.  You'll thank yourself later that you took the time....  :-)  Also, please be thoughtful and professional in your responses.  Offering other ideas for funding other than just saying we don't like to be nickled and dimed at every access point would probably be most helpful.  I'm not sure what the best solution is, and hearing from fellow boaters on this listserv as to possible ways to respond to this survey would also be helpful!
