Some people will do anything to keep from going to a conference - and this is the top one now!! 
Sorry really to hear that Chris, but thank goodness you were not hurt - we missed you and had a 
great conference in spite of your absence. Things went smoothly, participants had a good time, the 
weather was perfect and things even ended on time!  Take care of yourself and we shall be seing you 
in November.

 Hi all,

I was on my way to the conference this afternoon after school when the hood of my car came loose and 
smashed into my windshield.  It was a weird thing and never happened before and made my car 
undriveable.  I am VERY sorry to say I can't make it tomorrow.  I wish everyone the best and that 
the conference is awesome.  Coos Bay is a great place and  it will be a great day for science in 
Oregon!
