[Osta-board] A 23 year comparison !

Hello board members,

    Attached is a report to OSTA members from Steve Carlson, OSTA Past
President and NSTA Region XXII Director, of the summer NSTA CAGS meeting
twenty-three years ago.  If you have been following this year's CAGS
reports, you will see that the main thing that has changed is the
communications aspects.

   Carlson's report was sent out in the November 1991 TOST to some 900+
members.  This year's CAGS reports were sent out electronically on the same
day that the events occurred, and went out on the website, facebook, and
twitter.

  Carlson's report required that members had to take the time to read what
NSTA was doing.  (Yes, a 5-year Strategic Plan was the buzzword even 23
years ago!)  This year's reports featured pictures and videos, in color
even!!!

   Ah yes, the new age is instant electronic communication.  (now where did
I put that password ;-)
