[White-water] Fwd: WKCC meeting - Oct 25th

FYI:

Quarterly WKCC meeting -- 6:30pm, Thursday October 25th, Old World Deli,
Corvallis

This quarter, Michael Allender is presenting a movie he created to share the
experience of his Mountain River trip.  The Mountain River was a 16 day
wilderness trip in the Northwest Territories that drains into the mighty
Mackenzie.  It is compared to the South Nahanni.  If you have a Significant
Other that does not particularly see the thrill of whitewater kayaking, or
if you are more of a tripper/explorer than an adrenaline/challenge junkie,
then this is an excellent showcase of how the thrill of boating does not
have to be based around scary & powerful whitewater -- an equal thrill
revolves around using a boat to quietly visit landscapes & wilderness not
easily accessible in any other way.

ALSO, the wkcc board is rotating, and something like 5 seats are open.  We
will be having elections Thursday evening.  Please consider serving!!
